Mrs. Erin is the teacher at McKinley Cooperative Preschool. She studied Elementary Education at Eastern Michigan University and obtained a supplemental degree in Early Childhood Education from Schoolcraft College.
She previously worked with Northville Early Childhood Education Center before her first child was born. It was then that she decided to dedicate her time to being a stay at home mom.
All three of her children attended McKinley Cooperative Preschool. During her time as a parent at McKinley, Mrs. Erin held multiple positions on the Board, including President and Membership. By the time all of her children were in Elementary school, Mrs. Erin decided to return to work. And what better place to teach, than the preschool where she got to help her very own children learn and grow.
In her spare time, Mrs. Erin likes to volunteer at her children’s school, cheer for the Detroit Lions and University of Michigan, spend time with friends, and just be outdoors.
“Mrs. Erin is really great with bringing children out of their shells. My child had never been around other children until starting at McKinley, and she helped him learn how to interact with others.” – Danielle
“From the moment I met Mrs. Erin, I knew that my child was in safe and loving hands. From the good morning hugs to the quiet time when they are sharing conversations, choosing McKinley and Mrs. Erin was the best decision I could have made for my child’s future.”-Kelly
“Mrs. Erin was my son’s teacher for two years. She was able to quickly teach him ideas and concepts that he had previously struggled with. On top of that, he absolutely adores Mrs. Erin and would complain when he had to leave school. My daughter is entering preschool, and I’m so grateful that Mrs. Erin will be her teacher too.” – Melissa
